Bill took a Masters in orchestral conducting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama studying with Martyn Brabbins, after completing an MA in English Literature at Pembroke College, Cambridge, with organ scholarship. He also studied conducting with Ilya Musin in St Petersburg and Jorma Panula in Finland. He was Music Director for the Royal Ballet productions of Elizabeth at ROH Linbury Theatre in 2016 and the Barbican Centre in 2018, and has worked with many internationally regarded soloists. He is Artistic Director of Farnborough Symphony Orchestra and St Albans Symphony Orchestra. He also directs courses specialising in Renaissance choral music, a lifelong love.
